I have two degrees in literature, with focuses on women writers, bibliography, and composition. I also hold a professional certificate in copyediting.
My career as a writer and editor has included positions as a communications director at a major university, a project manager with a large marketing firm, and a freelancer working on book-length fiction and nonfiction, academic papers, personal statements, web content, and numerous indie projects. I’ve also written two young adult novels, which were represented by MacGregor Literary and published by Birch House Press.
The best part of my job is that I get to learn new things every day from authors who trust me with their work. And, as an author, I understand how critically important it is to maintain authorial voice, pacing, and persona. You are the only person who writes exactly like you, and my goal is to protect what makes your voice unique in the writing projects you share with me.
I am a member of the American Copy Editors Society (ACES), the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW).
